The Opus is a top-side gantry
robot that moves the PCB above the flux and
solder stations for the ultimate in
automated precision and flexibility. The
Opus offers a single pot with up to 2
independent nozzles. Each nozzle is
selectable under program control and rises
above the other for unobstructed access.
Each nozzle is complete with a servo pump
motor and heated nitrogen diffuser. The
board handler is an optional batch load or
edge-conveyor mounted to the robot,
expanding between 4"-18" under program
control.
Theta-rotation and tilt-axis are optional
capabilities built into the gantry to
provide superior access to difficult to
reach terminations. The tilt axis emulates
the inclined angle of a wave solder machine
to improve performance with fine-pitch
terminations. Automated wave height control
and full fiducial vision with auto correct
and defect detection is available. |
