SPOKANE VALLEY, WA – June 16, 2014 - RPS Automation LLC., a manufacturer of automated precision soldering equipment for electronics assembly and manufacturing, announces the implementation of a new style nitrogen preheat unit with an integrated thermocouple for full line of Selective Soldering Equipment. This new unit will increase the component life cycle, decrease overall cost, and reduce maintenance needs.
RPS Selective Soldering Systems are highlighted by their ability to flux and solder a high mix of changing and often complex assembly requirements, including tall and odd size components, tight keep aways, thermal demands, and thermal limitation. The innovative simplicity of these systems can now be improved through a newly designed nitrogen preheat unit and thermocouple.
Through extensive production and laboratory testing, RPS has determined that the new preheat unit will ensure precise thermocouple placement, which is essential for providing consistent temperature measurements. This improvement was made with the customer in mind, as it increases the component life cycle, decreases overall cost, and reduces maintenance needs for their selective soldering system.
